Myrtle Beach Day 3

Day 3 - Toilet still clogged, and Donald crashed my phone. This means we must leave the traila' again today. We piddled a while and accidentally chose check-out time to make our exit which, upon the park ranger's advice, we achieved by driving in the opposite direction on one way streets. After a visit to Verizon to get one of their "MiFi" internet adapters & Camper World (this time, buying the supplies I recommended), we headed back home, fixed the toilet, and hit the beach.
I'm not sure we'll ever be able to leave the house again without the dogs. They love doing whatever we do. Rock absolutely goes crazy once he's out the door. He circles Donald a thousand times on the walk through the park, and he is too funny on the beach. We laugh the entire time just watching him. I attempted to take some video of Donald walking him through the park so you could see him circle, but it turns out he needed a little privacy (aka he pooped in the driveway of another occupied camp site during the video... I'll spare you...)
Donald and I took turns running him up and down the beach in the surf, but you still can't sit down without being stepped on and covered in wet sand. It may sound like he's about to pass out from an asthmatic attack, but you can't wear the boy out. He just can't help himself. It would not have been nearly as much fun without them.

Oh yeah, and Jazz "tinkled" in the sand... YIKES!

Jazz always steels my towel & lays down before I can get situated to lay down first. She's such a princess! It didn't matter though. Rock soon rolled and wallowed in the sand and all over me, so there would have been no relaxing any way.

This weather is so gorgeous! It's perfect for the beach: warm sun with a gentle breeze blowing to keep you from getting hot. PERFECT!

Oh, and this is how we control Rock in public to keep him decent- front feet must be removed from the ground, altering balance and ability to do the unspeakable. When he gets excited, he has far to many hormones for public display. Sheesh.

We got done on the beach and walked back to the camper to cook out. We bought all our supplies from the little store in the park. It's a great little place, and everyone is so friendly. We had some left over fried pickles from Big Daddy's that we attempted to re-fry over the grill. Eh, soggy... But our burgers were superb! We ate outside at the picnic table, and I roasted us a few marshmallows. (I could get used to this!)

Somewhere along the past few days, we have acquired a new tenant. This relationship is not going to work out. If we don't evict them now, they'll surely fly the coop when we hit the road.

Oh, and we finally wore the dogs out again.

Side note: We are fascinated by our neighbor's clothes line. F-A-S-C-I-N-A-T-E-D! Ha!

The following day, we brought our journey to an end and headed home. The dogs even seemed sad to leave, but when we arrived back home, we had plenty of visitors awaiting us. We simply couldn't stay gone forever; we would miss them too much!
